Collins Alum Honored by JSA with Outstanding Young Alumni Award

On Saturday, May 11, at their 90th Anniversary Gala in Washington, D.C., the Junior State of America (JSA) presented their award for Outstanding Young Alumni to Alliance Collins Family College-Ready High School alum Audrey Landeros. According to the JSA, this honor, “recognizes a young JSA alum who has distinguished themselves through leadership and service to their community, country, or society-at-large since graduating high school. The Visionary Award Honors a JSA alum who has provided extraordinary leadership and service to their community, country, or society through their career, elected service, or volunteer activities.”

Embodying the spirit of South L.A., Audrey balances her political science and economics studies at Yale University alongside her commitment to public service. In Audrey’s words, “JSA has instilled in me a deep appreciation for civic engagement, advocacy, and the importance of promoting democratic values. The skills I developed, such as public speaking, networking, and leadership, are invaluable assets I continue to rely on today.”

Congratulations to Audrey Landeros and the Collins school community on this prestigious honor!
