Kristen Kruger Byler is Vice President, Strategic Implementation at Alliance College-Ready Public Schools. The Strategic Implementation Team leads Alliance’s annual strategic planning process; facilitates cross-functional implementation of annual network priorities and goals, including through Priority Working Groups; drives major network cross-functional processes such as the Academic Calendar, Master Operating Calendar, and Principal Weekly Newsletter; and, in partnership with the Schools Strategy Team, supports data-driven progress monitoring and action planning across the system, including KPI Stepbacks.

Prior to Alliance, Kristen worked in the Office of the Superintendent at Los Angeles Unified School District.

Before moving back west, Kristen worked in federal education policy in Washington, D.C. at the Office of Management and Budget and served two additional details with Reach Higher/Better Make Room and the Bureau of Indian Education. If you catch Kristen on Zoom, you will probably witness her black-and-white puppy Zoya up to all kinds of nonsense in the background.
