Transform L.A
Leaders at Alliance schools have the opportunity to inspire transformational change for scholars and their communities, while developing and collaborating with like-minded, committed professionals. Principals and APs also transform their leadership skills through meaningful professional development, Home Office support, and autonomy necessary to serve the unique needs of their schools and communities.
The Alliance Difference
Autonomy

- The School Site Advisory Council (SSAC) at each Alliance school provides a platform for teachers to participate in the decision-making process at their school, along with the principal, scholars, staff, families, and community members. The SSAC also provides recommendations to the Alliance College-Ready Public Schools Board of Directors.
Professional Development
- Principals receive substantial professional development to continue to hone their craft including monthly full-day PD sessions, semi-annual network-wide leadership retreats, and ongoing coaching from Instructional Superintendents and the Director of School Leadership.
- For those seeking to step into a more senior school leaders role, Alliance offers an Aspiring Principals Program ––a rigorous leadership development program. The program includes monthly executive coaching, professional learning community meetings with real-time coaching tailored to your personal development needs and goals.
- Each year, a cohort of leaders are selected to attend Relay National Principal Academy Fellowship
- Principals visit top-performing schools in Los Angeles and across the country
