The Alliance Marine - Innovation & Technology 6-12 Complex, which includes Valera Middle Academy and Marine High School, is a school serving grades 6 - 12. We are a small, personalized learning environment that seeks to achieve our mission. We are ALWAYS READY. We are innovative thinkers and doers, challenge seekers, and lifelong learners. We relentlessly strive to improve themselves while respecting and caring for others. We graduate from our school equipped with the knowledge, skills, and habits of mind needed to succeed in college, compete in a technology-rich global economy, and make a positive impact on the world.

We have strong parent and community engagement through our parent center, which includes a variety of events, activities, parent workshops, resource fairs, etc. Incredible investment through community partnerships and donors.

  • We are College-Ready! Our focus includes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) with a variety of electives in the middle school and computer science, engineering, robotics, and arts programming in the high school. Our scholars also pursue a variety of clubs, sports, and other extracurricular programs.
  • Blended and personalized learning through BLAST model and strong support for a variety of learners, including innovative special education programming and Gifted and Talented Education instruction.

Jarred Tsai

Alliance Principal

Principal Profile

Jarred Tsai started his career in education nearly 20 years ago. He joined Alliance as a teaching assistant at Alliance Collins High School and later became a teacher at Alliance Gertz-Ressler High School. He joined Alliance Leichtman-Levine High School and has led as an instructional coach, department lead, director of instruction and assistant principal. He recently joined Alliance MIT as a principal.
