Earlier this week, Dr. Joan Wicks – sixth-grade humanities teacher at Alliance Jack H. Skirball Middle School – was featured in the PBS News Hour “Brief But Spectacular” series! Throughout the segment, Dr. Wicks offers her fascinating perspective on a variety of topics, from literacy and parenting to helping her scholars bounce back from learning loss resulting from the pandemic and much more.
